Oasis Teases US Reunion Tour with Cryptic Times Square Billboard

Oasis will embark on a 17-date European reunion tour in 2025, but speculation is mounting about possible U.S. tour dates. This buzz started when a Times Square billboard, promoting a plea for an Oasis U.S. tour, appeared on September 1, 2024.

The billboard, featuring Liam and Noel Gallagher, stated, “If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is.” Oasis’ official Instagram account responded with an image of the billboard, accompanied by an eyes emoji, hinting that a U.S. tour might be in the works. Although the Instagram Story has since expired, @consequence captured a screenshot and shared it on their X (formerly Twitter) account.

Given that the tour is described as a “world tour,” it’s likely that more dates will be announced in other locations.

The 2025 reunion marks the end of more than 15 years of separation for the band. After a long-standing feud, Liam and Noel Gallagher have reconciled for the tour. The tour is set to kick off on July 4, 2025, in Cardiff, Wales. Following two shows at the Principality Stadium, the band will play five concerts in Manchester, England, and another five in London, England. The current European leg will conclude with three shows in Edinburgh, Scotland, and two in Dublin, Ireland.

The Oasis Live ’25 Tour was officially announced on August 27, 2024, just before the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe. Tickets went on sale to the public on August 31.

Oasis, formed in 1991, initially included members Liam Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. Noel Gallagher later joined as the band’s guitarist. They achieved widespread fame with their debut album, Definitely Maybe, in 1994, which included hits like “Supersonic,” “Slide Away,” and “Live Forever.”

Their second album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory, was released in 1995, featuring new drummer Alan White. This album included some of their most iconic songs such as “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova,” propelling them to superstardom.

Oasis released five more studio albums following their initial success. Their latest, Dig Out Your Soul, came out in 2008. However, tensions within the band peaked after they canceled a show at V Festival due to Liam Gallagher’s health issues and another at the Rock en Seine Festival. The latter cancellation led to Noel Gallagher leaving the band.

After the breakup, Liam Gallagher fronted a new band, Beady Eye, with remaining members of Oasis, before eventually pursuing a solo career. He has since released three solo albums.

Noel Gallagher quickly formed Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in 2010, featuring members Mike Rowe, Chris Sharrock, Russell Pritchard, Gem Archer, and Jessica Greenfield. The band has released four studio albums and undertaken numerous tours, including opening for U2 on their 2017 Joshua Tree anniversary tour and some dates on the 2019 leg.

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding the Oasis reunion and the possibility of U.S. dates being added. The renewed collaboration between Liam and Noel is generating significant attention, and fans in the U.S. are eagerly awaiting news about potential tour stops across the Atlantic.
