Oceans Calling Second Wave Spinoff Begins in Mexico in 2025

An all-in-one Caribbean vacation and four-day music festival? Absolutely! Oceans Calling Festival, a huge success in Ocean City, Maryland, is returning with a new twist in Riviera Cancún, Mexico. Here’s all you need to know about Oceans Calling Second Wave, a tropical concert vacation set for next year.

Oceans Calling Second Wave is scheduled to begin in the beautiful Riviera Cancún, Mexico, on January 19, 2025, and continue through January 22. This inaugural festival, inspired by the original Oceans Calling Festival, promises a 3-night all-inclusive experience hosted at the Moon Palace Resort.

In addition to the spinoff event in Mexico, the well-loved Oceans Calling Festival will be returning to Ocean City, Maryland, in the fall from September 27-29, 2024.

The lineup for Oceans Calling Second Wave features an impressive collection of musical talent. The festival will kick off on Sunday, January 19, with performances by O.A.R., Andrew McMahon, Los Stellarians, 311, and Brad Shultz of Cage the Elephant, among others.

On Monday, January 20, festivalgoers can look forward to sets by Incubus, 311, and Jack’s Mannequin. Tuesday, January 21, will feature performances by Weezer, Rebelution, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. The festival will conclude on Wednesday, January 22, with shows by Fall Out Boy, Cage the Elephant, and O.A.R.

Once attendees secure an event package, they simply need to book a flight to Cancún. According to the festival’s official website, the Oceans Calling Second Wave team will handle the rest. Upon arrival, vacationers will be greeted at the airport and transported seamlessly to the Moon Palace Resort.

From dawn until dusk, guests can relax on pristine beaches, enjoy daily poolside performances, or embark on adventures throughout the Yucatan Peninsula alongside fellow festival-goers. As night falls, visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the shore, leading them to the main oceanfront venue.
