Official Poster for ‘The Batman Part II’ Movie?

An image shared in May 2024 showed an official movie poster for the movie “The Batman Part II.”

In May 2024, an image began circulating on social media, purportedly showing an official teaser poster for “The Batman Part II.” The poster contained the words “Nothing to Fear” and displayed the year 2026.

“I respect this Batman series because they don’t use the same generic villains. This series actually explores and uses all of Batman’s villains,” remarked one X user in the comments section. Another user responded, “Best to forget this franchise exists until 2026. You’re just making yourself antsy thinking about how you gotta wait 2 years for this.” As of this writing, the image had garnered over 2.8 million views and 76,000 likes.

One user replied to the image, hinting that the teaser poster was not an official Warner Bros. Pictures artwork, but a creation by a fan. “This could be a real poster,” they said, later adding, “This is awesome, but I hate you for the 3,000,000 femto-seconds that I thought it was real.”

It was discovered that the artwork was shared by the dudes_flix account on Instagram and Movie.Takes on X, where the account-holder commented, “The Batman Part II – Teaser Poster is INSANE🥶.”

The image, however, was fake. The person behind the account PhaseRunner created it and initially posted it in May 2024. A response from PhaseRunner read, “You can watch how I made this ‘The Batman’ fan poster here:”

Followers who clicked on the link were directed to PhaseRunner’s YouTube channel, which hosted a video titled, “I Make Teaser Posters for Upcoming BLOCKBUSTER Movies!” This video, with 111,000 views as of this writing, illustrated the process and design tools used to create the fake movie poster for “The Batman Part II.”

Additionally, the official DC website, the Warner Bros. Motion Picture website, and the IMDb page for “The Batman Part II” do not display this version of the movie teaser poster. IMDb does, however, share other unrelated artwork.

The film’s director, Matt Reeves, who also directed 2022’s “The Batman,” has not shared the disputed movie poster on Instagram or X. No reputable news outlet has shared this version of the artwork.

Given that the image is not an official movie poster for “The Batman Part II,” the claim has been rated as “Fake.”

A hub page from film and TV news outlet Screen Rant reveals “The Batman Part II” is scheduled for release on Oct. 2, 2026. This is a 12-month delay from its originally scheduled release date in 2025. The comic book-inspired film is claimed to be a prequel to “The Batman.”

British actor Robert Pattinson will reprise his dual role as the DC superhero and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne. Motion-capture actor Andy Serkis will return as Alfred Pennyworth. While IMDb is keeping the movie’s plot “under wraps” for now, the platform reports that the film is currently in production.
