Only Six Weeks Left for Movies in the Park in Colorado

Western Colorado relishes the opportunity to watch beloved movies under the stars during the summer. If you missed out in June, there’s still plenty of time to experience “Movies in the Park” hosted by the Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department, with six weeks remaining.

Check out the full movie schedule below and learn how the Glade Park community offers nine weeks of free entertainment and how you can support them to keep the tradition alive next year.

Get your family ready, bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and perhaps a hoodie or blanket for cooler nights to the Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department on DS Road. “Movies in the Park” is a free event open to the public. The free movies are made possible by the concessions and the grill items sold every week, alongside support from numerous community sponsors.

At the event, you can purchase burgers, veggie burgers, Polish sausages, popcorn, soda, water, coffee, hot chocolate, candy, nachos, chips, and home-baked goods. The concession stand opens at 5:30 p.m. and runs until the movie’s intermission, while the grill is available from 6 p.m. until the movie starts. All movies begin at dusk.

The July movie schedule features “Ratatouille” on July 12th, “The Santa Clause” on July 19th, and “Luca” on July 26th.

Moving into August, the schedule includes “Madagascar” on August 2nd, “Harry and the Hendersons” on August 9th, and “Up” on August 16th.
