Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry Jump from Helicopter in Romantic Post

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry are taking their love to new heights.

Bloom, 47, and Perry, 39, were seen preparing to jump out of a helicopter and into a body of water in a post shared by Perry on Instagram on Monday, August 12. In the clip, a shirtless Bloom sticks his tongue out, while Perry, donning a neon orange bikini, flips the camera to reveal her wind-blown hair and goggles strapped around her forehead.

The couple counted down in unison before jumping off the helicopter, holding hands tightly. As they plummeted into the water, the video switched to Bloom’s perspective, capturing the moment he surfaced from beneath the waves. Another exhilarating snapshot from their adventure shows their silhouettes frozen in mid-air during the jump.

“Like the stars are in the sky, you and I will find each other in every single life,” Perry captioned the adventurous post.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry began their romantic journey in 2016 but hit a rough patch and separated the following year. However, they rekindled their love and Bloom proposed to Perry, a former American Idol judge, in February 2019.

Though they haven’t walked down the aisle yet, a source revealed to Us Weekly in May that they hope to “make things official by the end of the year.” According to the insider, the couple prefers their wedding to happen “when the time is right for both of them.”

“It will likely happen when it’s least expected,” the source mentioned.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, less than a year after Bloom’s proposal in August 2020. The insider also noted that Bloom and Perry have discussed expanding their family further. (Bloom has a 13-year-old son, Flynn, with his ex, Miranda Kerr.)

In terms of parenting, they seem to be on the same page. “They’re definitely on the same page in terms of wanting to continue to expand their family,” the insider said.

To Orlando Bloom, their relationship is a perfect one despite the challenges. “I wouldn’t change it for anything, even when sometimes it feels like, ‘How do we do this?’” Bloom shared during an appearance on Trevor Noah‘s “What Now?” podcast in April. “Because we’ve got these two giant careers and lives — and hers is even… it’s like a universe sometimes.”

He continued, “But I think I just keep coming back to her and trying to hold her hand and walk her back to the sand pit and be like … we’re just gonna build a sandcastle.”
