Ozzy Osbourne has issued an apology to Britney Spears following comments he made about her frequent Instagram dance videos. Speaking on the latest episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman said, “Britney, I really owe you an apology. I’m so sorry for making that comment.”
Despite his expression of regret, the 75-year-old musician didn’t entirely back down from his original statement, adding, “However, it would be better if you didn’t do the same f–king dance every day. Change a few movements.”
Ozzy’s co-host and daughter, Kelly Osbourne, who previously described Spears’ videos as “very sad,” also offered an apology. “Britney, never stop dancing. I love your dancing. It makes you happy and I’m so sorry if any of us offended you,” said the “Fashion Police” alum, 39.
“Listen, I like Britney a lot,” Sharon, 71, chimed in, while Ozzy interjected, “I love Britney Spears. But it’s the same dance every day.”
Adding another layer to the discussion, Kelly joked, “No, sometimes, she has knives,” referring to a video Spears posted that led authorities to conduct a wellness check.
Despite the jokes, Ozzy sincerely told the pop star, “I really do apologize. I love you and I think you’re beautiful.” His son Jack, 38, humorously added, “But mix it up.”
Representatives for Spears, 42, weren’t immediately available for comment.
The Osbournes’ apology comes weeks after they collectively criticized the “Toxic” singer’s videos, agreeing they all “feel sorry” for the “poor little thing.”
Spears, who had recently posted a throwback clip of herself dancing to “I’m Addicted” by Madonna, promptly responded to the family in a since-deleted social media post, referring to the Osbournes as the “most boring family known to mankind” and telling them to “kindly f–k off.”
