Patrick Mahomes Jokes ‘I’m Done’ Amid Wife’s Third Pregnancy and Family Growth

Patrick Mahomes recently put an end to any further speculation about expanding his family with Brittany Mahomes. The couple recently announced they are expecting their third child.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback addressed the topic at a training camp press conference when asked how he plans to juggle his business dealings and expanding family life.

“I’m done. I’ll say that,” Mahomes laughed, adding: “I said three and I’m done,” as reporters joined in the laughter. He remarked that fatherhood has been “awesome” and emphasized, “I always wanted to have kids young.”

Mahomes also shared his own upbringing, stating, “I got to grow up in the locker room. I think I’ve talked about it before – it made such an impact in my life, so I wanted to have kids young.”

On July 12, Patrick and Brittany announced via a joyous Instagram video that they are expecting their third child. Captioned “Round three, here we come,” the video showed the family dressed in white, excitedly displaying the ultrasound, while their children played around, clearly thrilled at the prospect of a new sibling.

Already, the couple are parents to daughter Sterling Skye, aged three, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, who is 18 months old. Patrick credited Brittany for her excellent job in balancing motherhood and maintaining their relationship, noting, “We still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things.”

Adding further, he stated, “It is really because I spend so much time in the building at football for these eight, seven months, and whenever I’m with my family, I wanna enjoy those moments.”

The Mahomes family has been making the most of the NFL offseason, embarking on a memorable journey across Europe. They shared photos from their travels to Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and England. Notably, they attended the Morgan Wallen concert in Hyde Park, London, and enjoyed watching tennis at Wimbledon.

During their London visit, the couple caught up with friends Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. The group was photographed with arms around each other, with another picture capturing Taylor kissing Brittany on the head in a sweet moment.

Patrick and Travis are not only teammates but also close friends, a bond that extends to their significant others. Brittany and Taylor have also formed a friendship, frequently seen together at games and even dining out post-matches.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is continuing her European leg of the Eras Tour. She recently kicked off performances in Germany, starting at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins-Arena, with upcoming shows in Hamburg and Munich. The tour, comprising 152 shows worldwide, is set to conclude in December.
