“Pawns Go Home” – GoldDerby

Week 4 in the “Big Brother” house concluded with Quinn Martin’s Deep Fake regime as Head of Household winding down. On Wednesday, Tucker Des Lauriers clinched the Veto, leaving Cedric Hodges, Makensy Manbeck, and Rubina Bernabe on the chopping block. Makensy managed to secure her safety in the AI Arena, resulting in Cedric getting evicted by a vote of 6-3 against Rubina. Consequently, the 21-year-old former marine from Boise, Idaho, became the fourth houseguest to depart in Season 26.

Cedric correctly anticipated that Brooklyn Rivera, Cam Sullivan-Brown, and Chelsie Baham voted for him to stay. “I knew T’kor Clottey and Kimo Apaka were going to vote against me,” he mentioned to host Julie Chen Moonves during his exit interview. “They have close ties with Rubina, so I knew if I lost, I’d be sitting here talking to you.”

Asked about the biggest surprise in the situation, Cedric commented, “I had a strong feeling how things would turn out. I hoped for Joseph Rodriguez’s support, but he came to me and said, ‘Look man, I don’t know.’”

The discussion shifted to why Cedric risked his game by offering himself as a pawn to be placed on the block by Quinn. “Pawns often go home,” he admitted. “In this game, you must trust certain people. I knew from the start that T’kor and Kimo were unpredictable. I figured it would happen either this week or later on. If they came through for me this week, I would’ve felt secure moving forward.”

In his parting thoughts, Cedric reflected, “This was an incredible experience. Thank you for having me. Many thanks to CBS and the production team; you’re all amazing. Everyone in the house is fantastic, so whoever wins will be deserving.”
