Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, is gradually recovering from a severe e-bike accident that occurred in July.
According to reports, the 20-year-old was hospitalized after crashing his bike into the rear of a stationary vehicle in Los Angeles. Thankfully, Pax is now back home, surrounded by his family as he recuperates.
His siblings—Maddox, 22; Zahara, 19; Shiloh, 18; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16—are all overjoyed to have him back. An insider revealed, “They’re trying to stay optimistic, but it’s been pretty terrifying to see him in this condition.”
The source added that all the children are currently staying at home to spend as much time with Pax as possible. “He needs a lot of sleep for his recovery, but when he’s awake, the whole family is with him, watching movies and making sure he has all his favorite foods,” the insider shared.
Friends have also been visiting Pax, but Angelina Jolie, 49, is ensuring he follows the doctor’s advice to rest adequately and not overexert himself. “He’s got all kinds of physiotherapy and hospital appointments to take care of,” the insider continued. “His recovery isn’t going to happen overnight, but they’re all committed to helping him get better one day at a time, rallying around him like the tight-knit family they always have been.”
Pax suffered “complex trauma” and a head injury in the accident, as he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time. A bystander who witnessed the crash described the scene, telling a news outlet, “I didn’t see any broken bones or profound bleeding. When directed to apply pressure where it was bleeding, I couldn’t find the spot because it was on the head.”
The witness continued, “There wasn’t a lot of blood, not like a fountain of blood rushing out. But his mouth was filled with blood. When he tried to speak, I saw a small stream of blood coming out of his mouth.”
