Peacock Announces Major News About ‘The Traitors’

Fans of The Traitors, today’s a day to celebrate. Raise those rusty chalices and hope they aren’t filled with poison because there’s good news. On August 14, 2024, the show celebrated four Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program for Alan Cumming. Now, The Traitors has been renewed for an additional two seasons. That’s right, Peacock has renewed the US version for Seasons 4 and 5 with Cumming set to host. This means two more chances for Kate Chastain to finally win a season.

The Traitors U.S. premiered on Peacock in 2023 with favorable reviews. It became an international sensation when Season 2 aired in early 2024. With memes from Phaedra Parks, headbands from Parvati Shallow, and unforgettable moments like “Oh my lord, sweet baby Jesus not Ekin-Su“, the show quickly gained a massive following and was renewed for Season 3.

Season 3 features 21 celebrities, including Big Brother‘s Britney Haynes, RHONY‘s Dorinda Medley, Survivor‘s Rob Mariano, and Britney Spears‘s ex Sam Asghari. It has already been filmed and is expected to air this winter. Thanks to this new announcement, fans can look forward to plenty of betrayal and murder through 2027.

While we await the premiere of Season 3 in a few months and look forward to Seasons 4 and 5 in the future, fans can still stream Seasons 1 and 2, along with several international versions, on Peacock. This downtime also provides an opportunity to dream-cast future seasons. For some fans, this might mean mailing letters to 30 Rock, hoping to see personalities like Ika Wong and Monica Garcia in Season 4.
