‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians’ Casts Bernhard, Schaal, Cho as Gray Sisters

Percy Jackson and the Olympians has announced its Gray Sisters for Season 2.

At D23 on Saturday, Disney revealed that Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, and Margaret Cho will portray the trio of sisters in the upcoming season on Disney+.

In Rick Riordan’s mythical world, the Gray Sisters are elderly women who share one eye and one tooth while running a “taxi firm” in New York City. As they navigate the Sea of Monsters, they cross paths with some of the main characters.

Bernhard will play Anger, the Gray Sister responsible for collecting cab fare from heroes who use their taxi service. Anger is eagerly waiting for her turn to use the shared eye.

Schaal will step into the role of Tempest, the sister currently in possession of the treasured eye. Tempest uses it to observe the heroes, foretell their future, and tease them about their personal lives.

Cho will take on the part of Wasp, the primary driver of the Gray Sisters Taxi, though she is blind most of the time. Known for her reckless driving, Wasp is responsible for delivering the heroes to Camp Half-Blood.

This announcement follows the news from San Diego Comic-Con that Daniel Diemer has been cast as Tyson the Cyclops. Tyson is Percy’s paternal half-brother, the son of Poseidon and a nymph.

Production on Season 2 commenced in Vancouver last week, but the cast has been tight-lipped about the details.

During the D23 panel, star Leah Sava Jeffries tantalized fans by saying, “Your jaw is going to be on the ground when this season comes out.”

Season 2 will follow Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries), and Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) as they embark on a new adventure inspired by Riordan’s second book in the PJATO series, The Sea of Monsters.

In the upcoming season, Percy discovers he has a Cyclops brother and faces the challenge of protecting his camp from an attack by Kronos. On top of that, Grover has mysteriously disappeared.

Fans eagerly anticipate how these new characters and plot twists will unfold in the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. With production underway, more exciting updates are expected to roll out in anticipation of its release.
