Pete Davidson Unveils Unbreakable Habit Post-Rehab

Pete Davidson recently delivered a candid routine during his stand-up show in Atlantic City, shedding light on his ongoing struggles with addiction. The comedian and actor, who has been open about his diagnoses of PTSD and borderline personality disorder, candidly admitted that despite his efforts to overcome substance abuse, he finds it difficult to let go of one particular vice.

“I can’t quit [weed] yet. It’s all I have left,” Davidson confessed to the audience at his “Pete Davidson: Rehab Tour” on July 20. He elaborated further by saying, “I did coke and ketamine and f–king all the pills and all that s–t. All I have is weed left, so it’s almost over, but I’m holding on for a little bit longer.”

While there was expected curiosity about whether Davidson would touch upon his relationships with his famous exes, such as Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and Kaia Gerber, the comedian chose not to delve into his romantic past during his performance.

Recently, Davidson parted ways with actress Madelyn Cline after a year of dating. “They ended things fairly recently, and I understand it was amicable,” a source divulged to the U.S. Sun. Though details about the breakup were sparse, the Daily Mail provided insight into Davidson’s current emotional state.

“Pete’s miserable a lot of the time,” the source revealed. “The only time he isn’t is when he’s working and on stage performing.”

Davidson’s dating life consistently garners public attention, a phenomenon he addressed on the “Real Ones With Jon Bernthal” podcast. “I’m in my 20s and I’ve dated people. And for some reason, that’s very crazy and interesting to people. I don’t think it’s interesting,” he remarked. He further elaborated, “I’ve been in show business for, like, half my life almost — for 14 or 15 years and on a national TV show. In 12 years, I’ve dated 10 people. I don’t think that’s that crazy, but to some people, that’s very interesting. That became all anyone would talk about.”

Davidson’s transparency about his mental health issues and substance abuse struggles adds a layer of depth to his public persona. His admission about clinging to weed, despite going through rehab for other substances, sheds light on the complexities of addiction. His acknowledgment of feeling miserable outside of his work and performances further underscores the challenges he faces behind the scenes.

While fans may be intrigued by his romantic escapades, Davidson seems more focused on navigating his mental health journey and finding solace in his work. The candidness he offers in his comedy provides a stark contrast to the glamorous image often portrayed in the media, making his vulnerability both relatable and poignant.
