Pharrell’s Fall Men’s Capsule Collection for Louis Vuitton

Pharrell Williams is gearing up for the fall season with the unveiling of the latest men’s capsule collection for Louis Vuitton. This collection exemplifies Pharrell’s dandy definition for the iconic fashion house, concentrating on versatile and transversal wardrobe essentials that redefine metropolitan style.

This distinctive dress code smoothly transitions from city life to weekend getaways. The capsule highlights Louis Vuitton’s signature savoire-faire, infused with a modern twist. The ready-to-wear pieces emphasize adaptation—transforming traditional dress codes to blend the classic elegance of city attire with the relaxed vibe of a vacation. The finesse and poise of the collection are subtly showcased in a black single-breasted cashmere overcoat paired with a sleek grey wool tracksuit and a refined mocha fleece track jacket.

Louis Vuitton’s iconic silhouettes are enhanced with new textures and shapes, adding subtle tonal flair to reimagine the men’s dress code. The ever-present monogram adds a detailed touch to the pieces, such as the leather panels of a black suede blouson and a grey denim suit. The LV Blason pattern also makes an appearance as an embroidered graphic on a clean-cut, black zipped lambskin overshirt and on a raw-blue denim suit.

The collection draws inspiration from the late South Korean painter Park Seo-Bo, known for his minimalist yet graphically impactful lines. Adapting from Park’s 1996 painting from the Écriture series titled “960728,” Pharrell introduced a black velvet shirt. Paying homage to Park’s visual depth and nuanced textures, the collaboration includes an elegant black velvet tracksuit inspired by “No.960728,” a maple red wool coat and gilet, and a velvet track jacket based on “No. 1-17” from 2017. Other standout pieces include a neon green blouson adapted from “No. 30-22 (19/30)” from 2022, a grey three-button shorts suit, and an off-white jersey hoodie-and-shorts set matched with relief knit crafted in the likeness of “No.021015” from 2002. Each collaborative piece features a tag with Park Seo-Bo’s artist signature.

Accessories in the collection also incorporate Park Seo-Bo’s signature vertical lines. This influence is evident in small leather goods and the LV Trainer Maxi, which combines his signature with the grain of the Epi texture in light blue and neon green calf leather.

The full collection is slated to arrive in September this year.
