August’s full moon signifies this year’s initial supermoon in a series of four. Looking ahead, the September full moon, commonly referred to as the Harvest Moon, is scheduled to reach its peak brilliance on Tuesday, September 17.

The following lunar event, dubbed the Hunter’s Moon, is expected to peak on Thursday, October 17. Concluding this series will be the Beaver Moon, which will illuminate the sky on Friday, November 15.
