Pierce Brosnan is a proud father. The actor, renowned for his many roles over the years, shares four sons: Dylan and Paris with his wife Keely Shaye Brosnan, and Sean and Chris with his late first wife, Cassandra Harris.

Pierce, 71, and Cassandra welcomed Sean, now 40, during their marriage. He also adopted Chris, 51, and their late sister Charlotte after their father, Cassandra’s ex-husband Dermot Harris, passed away in 1986.

Sean, like his father, ventured into acting but later shifted to a career in clinical psychology. However, his passion for the stage drew him back recently.

From August 20-25, Sean starred in a theater production of Waiting for Godot. This performance marked a significant comeback for him, and Pierce couldn’t be happier.

Sean took to Instagram to share images of himself in character, complete with thick, gray-tinged hair and a matching beard—a stark contrast to his usual blonde looks.

“And it’s finished,” Sean wrote. “Goodnight Vladimir. It’s been a pleasure. Thank you to everyone for your support. It means the world to me.” Pierce responded with encouraging words.

“Hearty congratulations dear Sean, Vladimir will never leave your soul, you are one. Deep respect for your work,” Pierce commented sweetly. Other comments included congratulations and high praises for his performance.

Sean remains close to his father and half-brothers, often making red carpet appearances with them. He is also a father to nine-year-old Marley May and one-year-old Jaxxxon Elijah with his wife, Sanja Banic.

Just days before the play’s opening night, Sean got a delightful surprise. His dad, currently filming for the upcoming Netflix adaptation of The Thursday Murder Club, teamed up with co-star Ben Kingsley to send Sean a video message wishing him luck.

Sean shared the video on Instagram, expressing deep gratitude for his father’s support.

“Thank you for the well wishes, words of wisdom and encouragement!!! This means so much to me and the team. Love you dad and much love to you Sir Ben,” Sean wrote.

He added: “With minds free, hearts open, riding on the rails of the words… we cannot fail. We cannot fail. Can’t wait to see you both in The Thursday Murder Club! And perhaps in a production of Waiting for Godot? What a dynamic duo you both are. I appreciate you both so much and I hope to make you both proud. Love to you both, Seany AKA Vladimir!”

Sean Brosnan in character
The actor underwent a drastic physical transformation for the role.

Following his role in Waiting for Godot, Sean is set to direct his second feature film, a thriller titled Wolfland. The film stars his father in the lead role, and Sean co-wrote the script with Matt D’Elia.
