Piers Morgan Criticizes Elon Musk’s ‘All Communities’ Comment Amid Riots

Piers Morgan has sharply criticized Elon Musk for his inflammatory remarks concerning Britain’s ongoing race riots.

Violent disorder has erupted nationwide following the stabbings of three young girls in Southport. Misinformation circulated that the attacker was a Muslim asylum seeker, prompting widespread chaos.

Hundreds of people have been arrested, and thousands of police officers have been deployed in preparation for further unrest throughout the week. This wave of violence has left at least one person seriously injured due to racist and Islamophobic assaults, with incidents of stabbings, street beatings, and mosques coming under siege.

Musk, the billionaire tech entrepreneur, faced accusations of inciting further unrest after he shared a video of a group of Asian men gathered around a pub in Birmingham. The caption read, “Why aren’t all communities protected in Britain?” He tagged UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in this social media post on Tuesday, 6 August.

Morgan rebuked Musk for his comments, stating, “Elon, fake news was posted that the triple child-killer was a Muslim illegal immigrant who came in on a small boat and was on a terror watchlist. This prompted far-right rioters to attack Muslims & asylum seekers. I haven’t seen you mention or condemn any of this?”

Other broadcasters also criticized Musk. Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy responded, “Do you want to do an interview about this? You are causing a lot of waves here in Britain at a very dangerous time. Anytime, anywhere. On Channel 4 News and X live.”

Musk’s comments are part of a series of posts to his 193 million followers on X, where he suggested on Monday, 5 August, that “civil war is inevitable” in the UK. These remarks drew criticism from Downing Street.

On Tuesday, Musk shared multiple tweets claiming that his site X is “the UK’s biggest source of news,” even as his messages seemed to echo fake claims. Using the hashtag #twotierkier, a far-right term used to justify the riots, Musk appeared to spread conspiracy theories. These included an image comparing the treatment of three alleged rapists which falsely suggested that a Muslim man had avoided jail.

Musk also posted an image from the adult cartoon Family Guy, showing a character in an electric chair with the caption: “In 2030 for making a Facebook comment that the UK government didn’t like.”

Critics have called for Musk to be banned from entering the UK. Commentator Nels Abbey, author of Think Like a White Man, demanded restrictions on the Tesla owner’s entry into the country.

“Britain banned Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Ja Rule, and Michael Savage for a lot less than inciting race riots and suggesting civil war in our country. Keir Starmer should ban Elon Musk from entering the UK and using our airspace,” he declared.
