Pink and daughter Willow deliver moving acoustic performance at DNC

During the final night of the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC), pop sensation Pink made a memorable appearance alongside her 13-year-old daughter, Willow Sage Hart. The duo opted for a more intimate performance, stepping away from the vivid spectacle of Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour.

They took to the stage in matching black outfits, showcasing their similar short hairstyles. Accompanied by three other vocalists and a guitarist, they delivered a heartfelt acoustic rendition of “What About Us,” a single from Pink’s 2017 album. The moment was marked by a tender gesture as Pink gently touched Willow’s back, signaling when it was her turn to sing.

Pink, who shares two children—Willow and 7-year-old Jameson—with her husband Cary Hart, has previously featured her eldest daughter on stage during her world tour. Willow had also joined her mother at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, celebrating Pink’s receipt of the Icon Award by singing a medley that included their cheerful duet “Cover Me in Sunshine.”

Despite sharing the stage occasionally, Pink has noted that Willow does not aspire to become a performer like her mother. “It’s not her dream,” Pink stated in an earlier interview. Instead, Willow plans to attend the Culinary Institute of America to pursue a career in baking, with aspirations to eventually establish an amusement park and possibly a water park.

Pink continues to captivate audiences with her music. She released her ninth studio album, “Trustfall,” last year and has been on an extensive world tour for over a year. Following the completion of the European leg of the tour, she kicked off her North American shows earlier this month, marking her “homecoming” performances.

The DNC stage has previously hosted a lineup of notable artists, including Stevie Wonder and John Legend, making Pink’s heartfelt performance a significant part of the event’s musical offerings.
