Pink Deviates During Aerial Stunt, Praises ‘Great Catch’

Pink is a total pro when it comes to belting out her hits while flying through the air during her performances. However, it looks like things almost went off the rails during a recent concert in Massachusetts, part of her Summer Carnival Tour.

During her opening song, “Get the Party Started,” the performer drops from the top of the stadium using a safety harness attached to bungee cords. She performs a series of aerial tricks before being caught by two dancers, secured upside down to a set piece above her.

In a new video from her concert at Gillette Stadium, it appears she almost flew off course during the stunt. Pink burst into laughter once the dancers had a secure hold of her, telling the second one who had her leg, “Great catch!” in between lines of the track.

Pink continued with the song as one of the dancers untangled her leg from the mechanism, allowing her to get into the proper position for the next set of tricks. She eventually had to pause and laugh mid-lyric.

The whole incident was so smooth that if she hadn’t said anything, fans may never have known anything was amiss. As always, fans were delighted by the “unreal” performance she put on.

“Narrator: She did, in fact, get the party started,” one commenter joked on TikTok, while another dubbed her “the Coolest.”

“Two things are always for sure. Water is wet, and Pink will be flipping at her concert,” another viewer joked.

While Pink makes everything look easy, Danny O’Donoghue, the frontman of her opening band The Script, proved otherwise when he took the rig for a spin. He admitted to having “so much more respect” for her after experiencing it firsthand.
