Poll Shows Many Believe Harris Outshines Trump and Biden Personally

In a recent survey focusing on personal attributes like cooking skills and dancing prowess, Vice President Kamala Harris emerged favorably compared to both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. The YouGov poll, released on Saturday, aimed to gauge how voters perceive Harris and Trump on a personal level, beyond their political roles.

The results revealed that 50 percent of participants believe Harris, widely recognized for her love of food, would excel in a cooking competition. In stark contrast, only 10 percent think Trump would come out on top in such a contest. Additionally, the poll indicated that 50 percent of respondents also think Harris would triumph in a dance-off against Trump, while just 14 percent believe the former president would win. Since her rise on the Democratic ticket, numerous viral videos showcasing Harris’ dance moves have made their rounds on social media.

Beyond cooking and dancing, voters showed a preference for Harris in several other personal aspects. According to the survey, respondents perceive her as a more trustworthy babysitter and believe she possesses a better fashion sense. They also think she would be more inclined to assist a stranger in need and remember special occasions, such as birthdays. On the subject of parenting advice, Harris again topped the list, reflecting her experience as a stepmother to Doug Emhoff’s adult children, Cole and Ella, while Trump is the father of five children from three different marriages.

On the campaign trail, Harris humorously interacted with her running mate, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, about his tolerance for spicy food. The survey results suggest that voters also believe she would be able to handle spicy cuisine better than Trump.

However, Trump did outperform Harris in four of the twenty questions posed in the survey. Participants indicated he would be more likely to win an arm-wrestling match or a poker game. Trump also ranked higher than Harris in areas such as financial advice and the ability to mimic celebrity voices.

In a previous survey conducted in June, it was found that voters perceived Biden as more personable and kinder compared to Trump. Biden was also considered to be more likely to help strangers and provide better relationship advice.

The latest YouGov survey was conducted from August 16 to 19 and included responses from 1,143 adults. The survey has a margin of error of four percentage points, emphasizing the reliability of its findings.
