With all the attention that General Hospital has been giving comatose Lulu Falconeri lately, it’s just a matter of time before Lucky’s sister gets that much-needed liver transplant and we have Laura’s daughter back on our screens full-time!
We already know the soap is recasting the character, but who could potentially play Lulu? Soaps In Depth put together a list of former daytime darlings we could see potentially resurrecting the legacy GH character.
Berman was the first young woman to play Luke and Laura’s daughter when the character was aged in 2005. Since exiting the soap over a decade ago, Berman worked consistently in primetime up until 2021, guest-starring on shows like Chicago Med and Casual, and starring in the Hallmark movie Love On Ice. We imagine that these days, Berman has her hands pretty full while raising her two young sons.
This is one actress we know for sure won’t be stepping into Lulu’s high heels. Rylan — who took over in 2013 when Berman left the soap and played the character until the accident in December 2020 that killed Dustin and left Lulu in a coma — has already gone on the record saying that she was “very disappointed” that the soap was recasting the role, and she would not have an opportunity to continue Lulu’s storyline.
Once All My Children’s Babe, Havins has worked as an actress on and off through the years since welcoming her three children with hubby Justin Bruening (ex-Jamie). Earlier this year, she shared the screen with her husband in the film Right Here, Right Now — so Havins is primed and ready to return to daytime!
Before she played AMC’s Madison, Gatschet shared the screen with Rylan when they were on Guiding Light as rivals Tammy and Lizzie. Considering that Gatschet currently lives in San Diego, where she works in the wellness industry while raising her daughter, the commute to Los Angeles may make it difficult for her to pick up the mantle of Lulu. Not impossible, however!
Landon certainly has the acting chops to play Luke and Laura’s daughter: She earned three consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for her turn as As The World Turns heroine Gwen. However, the actress is currently otherwise employed on the popular Paramount Network series Yellowstone, where she plays Teeter, one of the ranch hands on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
Rylan’s predecessor as GL’s Lizzie, Hunt went on to cause lots of trouble as One Life To Live’s Stacy. Since exiting daytime with the end of OLTL in 2012, Hunt worked on several movies and television series. However, her last IMDb credit is Mood Swings, the series she created, wrote, produced, and starred in that aired on the streaming service Pure Flix in 2021.
Having begun her daytime career as Days of Our Lives’ Mimi, Fath had a memorable turn as Hunt’s OLTL sister, Gigi. In 2015, she became a professional poker player and can often be found playing tournaments throughout Las Vegas, where she now resides with her husband, poker pro Phil Galfond. She briefly returned to soaps for a limited-run return to Days in 2018, and this year launched a YouTube series with her husband documenting their relationship and the world of pro poker. Flying back and forth from Vegas to L.A. to work on GH could be a piece of cake for Fath, who is already used to high-stakes and literally playing her cards right while under pressure!
While we wait for GH to make their casting decision, share your opinion in our online poll below!
