Post Malone Debuts Heartfelt New Song “Yours” for His Daughter

This one is for the dads out there. Last night, Post Malone teamed up with Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of his forthcoming tour, to give fans a taste of what’s in store for his upcoming album, *F-1 Trillion*.

Night In Nashville was an intimate show where Malone debuted songs from the new album and had several friends to help him on stage. One song that stood out from the evening was a heartfelt single dedicated to his daughter.

Malone and his fiancée welcomed a baby girl into the world in the spring of 2022. Like Luke Combs, he changed his lifestyle after welcoming a child, taking better care of himself to be there for his daughter. On a 2023 episode of *Call Her Daddy*, he noted his greatest fear as a father. “I guess not being able to be there for my baby, which is a new fear. That’s why I tried to slow down on drinking, to take better care of my body.”

During last night’s show, Malone debuted “a song for my daughter,” titled “Yours.” The heartfelt track talks about your daughter growing up too fast and one day having to let her go as she finds the love of her life. Although Malone sings that he is excited for the moments, like walking her down the aisle, he also puts heartfelt lines about how his love for his daughter does not compare to any other.

“And she might be wearing white, but her first dress, it was pink

She might be your better half, yeah, but she’s my everything

We’ll both love her forever, but I loved her long before

And one day I know I’ll give her away

Buddy, that don’t mean she’s yours…”

The last line of the chorus, “Buddy, that don’t mean she’s yours,” is a perfect warning to anyone wanting to court her later in life. Talk about a song that pulls at the heartstrings of all the daddy’s girls out there.
