Post Malone’s “F-1 Trillion” Tops the Billboard 200 Chart

Post Malone has once again proven his versatility with the release of his new country album “F-1 Trillion.” The multi-genre artist has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, achieving 250,000 equivalent album units. These units come from a combination of traditional album sales, individual track sales, and online streams. This is also Post Malone’s first time securing the top spot on the Top Country Albums chart.

“F-1 Trillion” marks a significant commercial success for Post Malone. While his 2019 album “Hollywood’s Bleeding” debuted at number one with 489,000 units, his subsequent albums saw slightly less success. His 2022 album “Twelve Carat Toothache” peaked at number two with 121,000 units, and his 2023 release “Austin” also reached number two with 113,000 units.

Though those numbers were impressive, neither “Twelve Carat Toothache” nor “Austin” had the enduring appeal of “Hollywood’s Bleeding.” The longevity of “F-1 Trillion” remains to be seen, but the success of its lead single “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, is promising. The single spent six weeks at number one on the Hot 100 chart.

Coming in at number two on the Billboard 200 for the second consecutive week is Chappell Roan‘s “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” with 72,000 album units. Taylor Swift‘s “The Tortured Poets Department” moved down to number three with 62,000 units. Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” dropped to the fourth position with 60,000 units. Billie Eilish rounded out the top five with “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” securing 53,000 units.

In this week’s Billboard 200 predictions contest, many participants correctly anticipated “F-1 Trillion” would take the top spot, though the strength of its debut exceeded expectations. Most predictions had the album falling in the 100,000 to 149,999 unit range, with only one person predicting it would reach the 250,000 to 299,999 units bracket.

The second place album, “Midwest Princess,” also outperformed expectations. Many predicted it would fall to the third or fourth spot, with “Tortured Poets” anticipated to be in the second position. However, it turned out to be the other way around. Meanwhile, 23 users accurately predicted “One Thing at a Time” would be in the fourth position, and the consensus was correct about “Hit Me Hard and Soft” coming in at fifth. In the end, 16 players topped the predictions results, answering three out of six questions correctly.
