Prime Video Releases Trailer for NIL Docuseries ‘The Money Game’

On Thursday, Prime Video unveiled the trailer for The Money Game, its new NIL docuseries spotlighting athletes at LSU.

The six-part series is set to debut on September 10. Fans can catch a glimpse of the much-anticipated trailer now.

Prime Video first announced The Money Game in January. Campfire, one of the production companies behind the series, reportedly paid $1 million for the rights, with a portion going to the featured athletes.

The series features notable athletes such as Alia Armstrong, Jayden Daniels, Olivia Dunne, Flau’jae Johnson, Angel Reese, and Trace Young. Both Daniels and Reese were among the top ten draft picks in the NFL and WNBA Drafts, respectively, earlier this year.

According to Prime Video’s synopsis, The Money Game will offer viewers “an exclusive, all-access pass inside LSU Athletics,” profiling some of the most sought-after collegiate athletes globally.

Set against one of the most intense and unpredictable years in college athletics, The Money Game delves into a historic turning point in the NCAA, brought about by policy changes on NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rights. These changes are poised to reshape the future of college sports. The series highlights the extraordinary experiences of LSU’s top players, coaches, and administrators.

LSU, the flagship university of Louisiana, is renowned in college athletics, boasting an SEC-leading 51-team national championships and featuring three top NIL collegiate earners last season.

With its subjects amassing a collective 20 million-plus social media followers, The Money Game profiles some of the world’s most coveted collegiate athletes. Olivia Dunne, an LSU gymnast and social media sensation, is a leading spokeswoman for major brands. Angel Reese, also known as The Bayou Barbie, led the Tigers to a national basketball championship in 2023, built a national brand, and was a first-round pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky.

Flau’jae Johnson earned SEC women’s basketball Freshman of the Year honors and signed as an artist with Roc Nation. Trace Young, who transferred from Colorado State to LSU to play basketball, has established a substantial endorsement portfolio. Alia Armstrong evolved into an elite hurdler for the Tigers and developed an innovative approach to NIL. Jayden Daniels orchestrated one of the most prolific seasons in SEC football history, winning the 2023 Heisman Trophy. He was the second overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.

The series is directed by Drea Cooper and produced by Campfire Studios, Axios Entertainment, and Jersey Legends. Among the executive producers is Shaquille O’Neal, an LSU alumnus and basketball legend.
