Princess Kate Middleton is offering a heartfelt look into her family life as she continues to navigate her ongoing battle with cancer.

On September 9, the Princess of Wales shared new video footage featuring her husband, Prince William , along with their three children — Prince George , Princess Charlotte , and Prince Louis .

Kate, aged 42, described the last nine months as a challenging time for their family in a video statement, referring to the difficulties stemming from her health issues. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown,” she explained.

She expressed that the journey had been “complex, scary, and unpredictable,” yet she confirmed that she has now completed her chemotherapy treatments.

Kate’s statement radiated a renewed sense of hope. “Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life,” she shared. She also expressed gratitude, stating, “William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy, and compassion has been truly humbling.”

The royal watchers were treated to rare glimpses of the young royals — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — as they spent quality time at the park with their parents. In the video, the family was seen playing cards and enjoying a picnic under the warm sun. Moments of laughter were captured, with Kate and William embracing while laying on a blanket.

Kate reached out to those who might be on their own cancer journey, stating, “To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”

In January, Kate underwent abdominal surgery and later revealed her diagnosis of an unspecified type of cancer nearly two months later. Since then, she has minimized her royal duties to focus on her recovery.

In March, she expressed the importance of privacy during this challenging time, saying, “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too, as is the love, support, and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.”

She continued, “We hope that you’ll understand that as a family, we now need some time, space, and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I’m able. But for now, I must focus on making a full recovery.”
