Prince Harry ‘Fears Wasting Life,’ Misses Something as Meghan Markle ‘Frustrated’

An old friend of Prince Harry suggests that as his 40th birthday approaches, he often reminisces about the time when he was widely adored by the British public, prior to his 2020 departure from royal duties.

“He’s an angry boy. Things haven’t turned out how he wanted,” the insider revealed to The Times. “I think he misses being over here [in Britain] desperately and wants to be admired more. Anyone who knows him feels he’d rather be top of the pops here with everyone loving him, as they do with William and Kate.”

Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, is reportedly frustrated by this nostalgia and wishes for him to focus on their future together with their two children, rather than dwell on the past.

Speaking to OK!, former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond remarked: “If Meghan is encouraging Harry to leave the past behind and move on, then I think it is a healthy move. They have made their decision, left the working royal family and left the UK.”

After stepping down from royal responsibilities in 2020, the Duke and Duchess settled in California to raise their son, Prince Archie. They later welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet. Recently, the Express reported that Prince Harry has confirmed his status as an official US resident.

“He says he now regards the USA as home – at least for the time being,” claims Jennie. “Brooding on the perceived injustices of the past and re-living old quarrels is a waste of a life, and I think Meghan sees that.”

Despite this, Jennie pointed out that it might be “easier” for Meghan to look forward, mentioning her lack of deep roots with the royal family, unlike Harry.

“It’s easy for her to look forward… ensconced as she is in a country and lifestyle she is so used to and clearly loves. But Harry has said he wants to be reunited with his family… so he is obviously going to think about what has happened and how they have come to this state of affairs,” Jennie observed.

She continued: “and that’s probably quite frustrating for Meghan… who seems to be at ease with estrangement from her own family. I don’t think Harry spends ‘all’ his time looking back… but the Harry I knew as a young boy was someone who enjoyed fooling around with his family and having fun with them.”

However, it’s well-known that Harry’s bond with his family, especially his brother Prince William, and father King Charles, has grown frosty in recent years amid some startling revelations in his tell-all book “Spare.” The book also includes Prince Harry reflecting on happier times with his family, suggesting a touching sense of sadness for the events that have transpired.

Harry has previously voiced his desire to repair relationships with his family, particularly after health scares involving his father and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, earlier this year.
