Prince Harry is set to visit New York City for a solo trip in September, marking his first return to the city in nearly a year, as confirmed by his office on Tuesday. A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex announced that Harry would be present for Climate Week, an annual environmental charity event held in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly, which convenes during the same time.

During his stay in New York, Harry is expected to advance several of his patronages and philanthropic efforts. The spokesperson highlighted that he would engage with organizations such as African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst. Additionally, he will be working further on initiatives under the Archewell Foundation, the charity he co-founded with his wife, Meghan Markle.

In a recent development, Harry’s elder brother, Prince William, visited New York City for Climate Week last year to attend the Earthshot Summit, an environmental innovation contest he started in 2020. With Climate Week 2024 kicking off on September 22 and lasting for a week, Harry’s visit coincides with this year’s Earthshot Summit. It remains uncertain whether either prince will attend the contest.
