Prince Harry has been spotted with a notably special necklace on the first day of his Colombia tour, which has piqued the interest of many royal enthusiasts due to its emotional connection to Prince William.

The Duke of Sussex arrived in Colombia with his wife, Meghan, and was seen wearing the same necklace that he claimed William “broke” during a confrontation about Harry’s wedding plans with Meghan.

In his memoir, Spare, Harry alleged that his older brother William broke the necklace during a “physical fight” at Nottingham Cottage, where Harry claimed William “knocked me to the floor”.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from William’s accusations that Meghan was “rude” and “abrasive”. Harry retorted by accusing William of “parroting the press narrative” and expressing his disappointment.

In a 2023 interview on The Late Show, Harry showcased the “now fixed” necklace, explaining that it carries significant meaning with its three pendants: two containing cardiograms of his son and daughter, Archie and Lilibet, and a third featuring a tiger’s eye gifted by a friend from Botswana.

“It’s got my kids’ heartbeats, which my wife gave me,” Harry said of the necklace.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex commenced their four-day working visit to Colombia with a breakfast meeting with Vice President Francia Márquez and her partner, Rafael Yerney Pinillo.

Meghan epitomized chic elegance in a navy halter-neck two-piece by Veronica Beard, while Harry sported a navy suit paired with a blue open-collared shirt.

The Duchess, 43, was warmly greeted by Ms. Marquez. The Vice President expressed that she feels a connection with the Sussexes regarding shared ideals and goals, particularly in advocating for a better, safer digital future and advancing mental health for children worldwide.

On their first day, Harry and Meghan planned to visit a local children’s school, Colegio Cultura Popular, to speak with students about the digital landscape and its effects on society.

Additionally, Vice President Marquez will host a summit in collaboration with The Archewell Foundation and Luminate. The event aims to bring together experts, leaders, and activists to discuss the pressing need for a healthier and more ethical online world.

Ms. Marquez initially approached the Sussexes about visiting Colombia in 2023. The Sussexes’ team has yet to confirm how the trip is being funded, whether privately, through Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation, by the Colombian government, or other means.
