Prince William Posed for Pics at Latest Outing—But Something Striking Caught My Eye

In the past, I’ve mentioned how much 10-year-old Prince George resembles his dad, Prince William. It’s hard to miss the uncanny resemblance whenever they’re seen out and about in their matching blue suits. However, another striking resemblance worth discussing is between Prince William and his dad, King Charles, especially when they smile.

Take a look at these two photos for example. In the right one, Prince William is all smiles during his visit to RAF Valley on July 9, where he even showed off his go-to parenting move. On the left, we see King Charles grinning widely in front of a cake that Queen Camilla helped cut during the 900th-anniversary celebration of the City of Edinburgh at Edinburgh Castle on July 3. In both images, the royal father and son are beaming from ear to ear.

These photos caught my eye because they highlight the striking similarity in how Prince William and King Charles show genuine enjoyment during royal events. Not only do they both smile in nearly identical ways, but their smiles feature similar lines and a full facial expression that includes the mouth, cheeks, and eyes.

Below are two more photos taken during the same events. They further illustrate just how much Prince William and his dad resemble each other when they smile and laugh. Both have bright, shining eyes and wide smiles that reveal their teeth:

These similarities highlight just how much they are alike, a fact that is hard to ignore.
