Princess Accuses Prince of Cheating: Read Shaikha Mahra’s Divorce Message

The daughter of Dubai’s monarch has made an unprecedented move, publicly announcing her divorce on social media. This unorthodox approach, often associated with men in certain Islamic countries, has sparked significant attention.

“I hereby declare our divorce,” Sheikha Mahra posted on her Instagram account. “I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.”

Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the daughter of the United Arab Emirates Prime Minister and Dubai’s monarch, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Her post appears to reference the concept of a “triple divorce,” where a man can instantly terminate his marriage by repeating the phrase three times. This practice is traditionally not used by women, and in some countries, it is banned.

Her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, is also part of Dubai’s ruling family, possibly complicating the situation. The couple married in 2023 and had a daughter some time after.

Following Sheikha Mahra’s post, all pictures of her and her husband were removed, and his account now shows no photos of her. According to CNN, although some speculated that the princess’s account might have been hacked, the post has not been taken down. So far, neither the UAE nor Sheikh Mana has issued a public comment.
