Princess Beatrice’s Fiery Red Hair Was Once Platinum Blonde: See Rare Photo

Princess Beatrice is truly having a moment. After years of being a fashion underdog, royalty’s new It-girl has finally come into her own, topping Tatler’s coveted ‘Best Dressed List 2024’. Previously, this prestigious title was held by the Princess of Wales, making Beatrice’s achievement even more noteworthy.

It’s not just her fashion sense that’s grabbing headlines. Princess Beatrice’s sleek auburn hair has also become the talk of the town, earning her the title of ‘hair goals’ among many.

The royal’s fiery red locks have become synonymous with her effortlessly elegant style. Princess Beatrice’s sense of fashion has developed significantly over the years, and her hair care routine has evolved alongside it. Every time she debuts a new feminine fit, bold floral print, or timeless silhouette, she’s often seen sporting a fresh hairstyle to match.

During the funeral of her late grandfather, Prince Philip, Princess Beatrice stepped out with a waist-length ponytail. A year later, at his memorial service, she was seen with immaculate coiled curls, accentuated by a striking merlot-hued headband.

Interestingly, the late Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter hasn’t always had the vibrant red hair she shares with her mother, Sarah Ferguson, and sister, Princess Eugenie. An unearthed photograph from Princess Beatrice’s first day of school in 1991 shows her with a head of icy blonde hair.

In another photograph, Beatrice and Eugenie appear side by side. Eugenie developed her auburn hair earlier, while Beatrice sported much lighter locks during her childhood. Babies often have lighter eye and hair color which darkens as they grow older due to the gradual development of melanin, the pigment responsible for these changes.

The royal family remains tight-lipped about who is responsible for their hair and makeup at official events. This secrecy leaves the identity of their glam squad a mystery. However, there was one rare occasion when Princess Beatrice and Eugenie’s makeup artist for the Queen’s Jubilee weekend in 2021 was revealed. Hannah Martin was named as the genius behind their looks, and she even shared a selfie on Instagram with the royal sisters and hairdresser Ben Cooke, known for Victoria Beckham’s ‘Pob’.

Princess Beatrice’s evolving style and beauty routines have solidified her status as a modern icon. From her chic outfits to her glossy auburn locks, she continues to inspire royal fans and fashionistas alike.
