Quavo Provides Update on His Relationship with Offset After Quan’s Death

Recent developments suggest that Quavo and Offset, two members of the former group Migos, have resolved any past tensions and are on amicable terms.

On September 5, Quavo took to Instagram to share a message that conveyed a positive update regarding his relationship with Offset.

In his post, Quavo wrote, “Good Convo With My Bro @offset,” and included emojis that emphasized the sentiment. He additionally featured his track ‘Nothing Changed’ alongside the post, which features the late Takeoff.

Quavo’s announcement comes in the wake of a tragic event—the death of Rich Homie Quan at the age of 34, confirmed by TMZ on September 4. Following this news, Quavo expressed his condolences by sharing an image that included Quan, Takeoff, and others, captioning it with a heartfelt message: “May God be with US never saw this being apart of our journey.”

In the photograph, Quavo symbolically placed a rocket emoji over Takeoff, a dove emoji for Quan, and a broken heart emoji possibly representing Offset, hinting at the depth of his feelings about their bond amidst loss.

Social media quickly erupted with reactions to Quavo’s post, particularly in the comments section of The Shade Room. Many fans expressed excitement and relief at the evident reconciliation between the two former bandmates.

One Instagram user, @ms_nyc_lawyer, remarked, “Okay!!! They are rebuilding their relationship… Love it!”

Another user, @courtney_courtneyyyy, celebrated the mending of their friendship, stating, “I love to see when men can put their pride to the side & put the friendship first … Rip Takeoff.”

Other comments echoed a similar sentiment, with users highlighting the importance of family and the fleeting nature of life, urging the two to prioritize their relationship.

Instagram user @lashflashhhh wrote, “Tomorrow isn’t promised! Love on your people NOW!!” reinforcing the idea that life is too short to harbor negativity.

In recent months, speculation of a rift between Quavo and Offset had grown, especially after Quavo and Takeoff collaborated as Unc & Phew, releasing their joint album just a month before Takeoff’s untimely death.

Despite rumors, the pair put aside differences to honor Takeoff during the 2023 BET Awards, performing a surprise set that included ‘Hotel Lobby’ and their famous hit ‘Bad and Boujee.’

During a May interview on ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game,’ Offset spoke candidly about his bond with Quavo, emphasizing that their relationship remains strong despite challenges and misconceptions.

“I don’t feel like I owe it to people to show how much me and bro love each other. We went through something. We don’t have to show you n****s smiles and faces, so stop doing that,” he said.

He reassured fans, citing that they are “real brothers” who will always have each other’s backs, regardless of public perception.

“I still go through shit, I know bro go through s**t. N****s love each other though, at the end of the day. We men, we real brothers, and we cool with it, so be cool with it. Don’t ever try and turn us against each other. I hate that s***. At the end of the day, it ain’t your business.”

It is clear that both Quavo and Offset value their brotherhood, a sentiment that resonates with their fans who are eager to see them unite.

As both artists navigate their grief and the complexities of life, many hope that this marked improvement in their relationship will lead to more collaborations in the future, honoring Takeoff’s legacy and continuing their impact on the music industry.
