Queen Camilla Chooses Botanical Fiona Clare Dress for Cancer Center Visit

Queen Camilla chose one of her favorite designers for her latest royal engagement on Tuesday. The queen consort visited the Dyson Cancer Centre in Bath, England, where she unveiled a plaque dedicating the new addition to the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.

For this special occasion, Queen Camilla wore a Fiona Clare midi dress featuring three-quarter-length sleeves and a hemline below the knee. The dress displayed an allover leaf design with intricate vines of fronds adorning the fabric.

Queen Camilla finished her look with camel-colored pumps and her signature jewelry pieces from Kiki McDonough and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Fiona Clare has recently become one of Queen Camilla’s favored designers. Before her visit to the Dyson Cancer Centre, Queen Camilla attended the Ebor Festival in York, England, on August 24. For the opening of the Bustardthorpe Development at the York Racecourse, she chose a blue Fiona Clare ensemble.

The look at the Ebor Festival featured ornate embroidery around the collar, front placket, and cuffs. The embroidery included delicate florals and vines with leaves, evoking a whimsical summertime feel. This was not very different from the pattern she chose for her engagement on Tuesday.

Between Fiona Clare and another favorite designer, Anna Valentine, Queen Camilla consistently shows that comfort and style can go hand-in-hand.

Both designers lean toward streamlined silhouettes that Queen Camilla has often worn during King Charles III’s reign. Nevertheless, the queen consort isn’t shy about experimenting with patterns. Her wardrobe includes a diverse range of looks from floral inspirations to animal prints.
