Quiz for Oasis Presale Tickets on ‘Original Drummer’ Sparks Fan Pandemonium

Oasis announced their highly anticipated reunion tour yesterday after a 15-year hiatus, and demand for tickets is expected to be immense.

Fans are eager to see the band live again on their UK and Ireland tour next summer. While the general sale starts this Saturday, there is also a presale opportunity up for grabs.

This presale is through a ballot system, meaning not everyone who applies will win presale access. To enter, fans must prove their Oasis knowledge.

“Register for the UK and Ireland 2025 tour pre-sale ballot. A ticket pre-sale will be held on Friday, August 30, ahead of Saturday’s general sale,” the official Oasis account posted.

“To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot. Ballot registration is open now and will close at 7pm BST, this Wednesday, August 28.”

Fans have to answer a multiple-choice question: “Who was the drummer in the initial Oasis line-up?” The options are Chris Sharrock, Tony McCarroll, and Alan White.

The correct answer is Tony McCarroll, who was with Oasis from 1991 until 1995. He played the drums on the band’s debut album, Definitely Maybe, and the singles ‘Whatever’ and ‘Some Might Say,’ before leaving after a dispute with Noel Gallagher.

Alan White replaced McCarroll and served as the drummer until 2004.

With everyone keen for early access, social media is buzzing with people searching for Tony McCarroll in order to answer the required question.

Good luck to everyone attempting to get tickets…
