Rachel Fuda and Husband John Expecting a Baby

Rachel Fuda and John Fuda are thrilled to announce that they’re expecting another child. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star shared the joyful news on Sunday, Aug. 11, during the Season 14 episode titled “Off the Rails.” Rachel made the announcement in the company of her RHONJ co-stars, during a celebratory toast.

As Melissa Gorga began the toast with, “There’s a lot of life to be had…” Rachel excitedly interjected, “Considering I’m pregnant!” She joyfully added, “We’re ready to be a party of six!” The couple already shares two daughters—Gianella Jolie, 4, and Giuliana Rose, 2. They also have Jaiden, John’s 17-year-old son from a previous relationship, whom Rachel adopted.

Rachel took to Instagram to share her happiness with her followers, posting a video that captured the moment of their big announcement. “When I was a little girl, I dreamt of my life as a mother, filling my future home with family and love. I’m forever grateful to God for allowing me to live my dream every day,” she wrote. “With full hearts, we are counting our many blessings as we excitedly anticipate becoming a family of 6.”

Rachel has been very open about her IVF journey, a method that helped conceive Gianella, Giuliana, and their upcoming baby. In Season 13 of the Bravo show, she discussed her desire to go through IVF once more. She explained to her husband that they had five viable embryos left and she wanted to take the chance to expand their family. “The clock is ticking,” she said, emphasizing the urgency. “I just feel like, four kids, that’s a good number. The time is now. This is, like, a year process. I want to do this and be done.”

However, the path to pregnancy wasn’t without its challenges. Rachel had to stop her arthritis medication before attempting to conceive. “I thought, ‘This is my last shot. If this doesn’t work, we’re done,'” she shared with PEOPLE. She openly discussed the financial and physical strains involved in the IVF process. “First of all, it costs a lot of money. But second of all, you’re on all these medications that just throw your body off. I was hormonal, breaking out so bad, tired and on edge; my mood was going up, down, up, down. I just felt like, ‘I can’t do this anymore.'”

Thankfully, the transfer was successful. Rachel discovered she was pregnant after taking an online pregnancy test, even though she was initially required to wait 10 days for her blood test. “They make you wait 10 days for your blood test, but I had to know so I took a test and it came back positive,” she shared with the outlet. Initially, she decided to keep it a secret to avoid false hopes. “Well, let me not say anything to John, just in case God forbid it’s a false positive,” she thought. After the confirmation from her doctor, she surprised John with the wonderful news.

The couple is now eagerly awaiting the arrival of their newest family member, turning their family into a lively party of six. Rachel’s story embodies her lifelong dream of motherhood and her dedication to overcoming challenges to achieve it.
