Ralph Macchio on Hilary Swank Returning for Cobra Kai’s Final Season (Exclusive)

Ralph Macchio is eagerly anticipating the fan reactions to the final season of “Cobra Kai.” The actor recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of the sixth and final season of the hit Netflix series and discussed potential surprises for long-time fans.

During a chat with ET’s Ash Crossan, Macchio hinted at possible Easter eggs, reunions, and cameos that could appear in the last episodes. While he remained tight-lipped about specifics, he teased, “I can’t mention names but there might be one or two [surprises], or there are some [characters] that have shown up in a smaller capacity that I would like to see in a larger capacity.”

Among the characters fans are hopeful to see return to the “Karate Kid” universe is Hilary Swank. Swank debuted in a leading role in 1994’s “The Next Karate Kid,” the fourth film in the series. Addressing the fans’ hopes to see Swank in “Cobra Kai,” Macchio responded coyly, “Who doesn’t, you know?” He added, “And that’s the one piece that would be interesting, you know?” leading fans to speculate her potential involvement.

“Cobra Kai,” a follow-up to the “Karate Kid” series, features Macchio and William Zabka reprising their iconic roles from the ’80s films. They guide a new generation of fighters in the series, which is set to conclude with its sixth season, airing in three parts. Macchio promises that the final season will take surprises to the “next level” and shared his excitement about fans seeing it soon.

Reflecting on his extensive experience with the franchise, Macchio expressed gratitude and shared a lesson he’s learned: “Never say never. Be careful with what you think you know, because if you put good out there, it comes back. So here we are!”

The anticipation is building as fans gear up for the debut of Part 1 of the sixth and final season of “Cobra Kai,” set to premiere on July 18 on Netflix.
