Recap: America’s Got Talent S19 E13 – Quarterfinals 3

“America’s Got Talent” continues to build excitement as Season 19 approaches its finale. This week showcased the third live show of the quarterfinals. In each of these four episodes, 11 acts compete, but only four will continue their journey in the competition.

Out of those four, one act will receive the coveted Golden Buzzer from the judges — Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, or Sofia Vergara. The remaining three acts will advance based on America’s vote.

The recap below follows all the performances and judge reactions in “America’s Got Talent” Season 19 Episode 13, providing a detailed minute-by-minute account of all the excitement.

Terry kicked off the night by announcing that Heidi Klum held the Golden Buzzer for the evening. Heidi promised to use her power wisely and admitted that any act could potentially move her enough to earn it.

The first performers of the night were the latest incarnation of the boy band Menudo. Following their initial audition, Simon had encouraged them to “be yourselves” despite industry pressures. Taking his advice to heart, Menudo performed an energetic new song, “Party en California,” featuring full Spanish verses. Howie was less enthusiastic, comparing their performance to a children’s show on Saturday morning television. However, Sofia and Heidi embraced the festive vibe of their performance, even though they acknowledged the voices were not the world’s best. Simon refrained from offering an opinion, instead confirming that the boys had chosen the song themselves and had followed his advice to stay true to their identity.

Up next was Taiwan’s Sam Huang, who introduced himself as a practitioner of “crazy magic.” He impressed with his unique close-up magic routine, featuring dramatic finger displacement tricks. Heidi expressed her fondness for his act, while Sofia found his magic “very unique” but questioned what more he could offer in the finals. Simon commended Sam for bringing something different to the show but criticized his choice of music as “terrible.” Howie enthusiastically declared Sam his favorite close-up magician ever featured in the show’s history.

With more acts to follow, the competition remains fierce as each performer vies for a spot in the next phase of “America’s Got Talent.” The audience and judges alike are eager to see who will emerge victorious in this thrilling season of diverse talent and spectacular performances.
