Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Feels ‘Like a New Woman’ in Pregnancy Update

The Pioneer Woman host Ree Drummond’s oldest daughter, Alex Drummond, provided an honest update about how her pregnancy has impacted her daily life on Instagram Stories, Tuesday, July 9.

Alex Drummond and her husband, Mauricio Scott, announced last month that they are expecting their first child together. The baby will make the Food Network star a grandmother for the first time.

Now 15 weeks along, Alex shared with her Instagram followers that, after experiencing weeks of nausea, she is now feeling “like a new woman” at this stage of her pregnancy journey.

“Things have really turned around in the past, like, week or so,” the 27-year-old said. “And I feel so much better.”

Alex said her pregnancy nausea, which she endured “all day long” for weeks, began when she was between five and six weeks along. She recalled that the worst of the nausea occurred between her seventh and 10th weeks.

Now, “I feel like I’ve hit a point where I’m living my best second trimester life, and officially out of the thick of the nausea,” she shared. “I’m feeling like it’s going to be a great rest of the summer. I have so many things that I’ve been wanting to do, like nesting-wise, and I finally feel the will and the power inside to actually accomplish something.”

Speaking publicly about her exciting family news has also provided some relief. “Now that I’m talking about it on Instagram, I actually feel better,” she said. “There’s so much good advice and so many people giving me so much encouragement, and I’m like, ‘I wish I would have had this like five weeks ago when I was suffering.’”

Alex revealed in a June post on her mother’s blog that the expecting couple shared their happy news with the celebrity chef shortly before Mother’s Day. Several weeks later, they announced to the world that they are expecting a baby girl through a gender reveal video.
