‘RHOC’ Star Heather Dubrow Discusses Shannon’s ‘New Chapter’ and Alexis’ Return

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Heather Dubrow is giving fans a sneak peek into Season 18, marking a milestone as the 100th season of the “Housewives” franchise!

“Extra’s” Melvin Robert caught up with Heather, who promised a season filled with both drama and laughter, while expressing her enthusiasm for highlighting her advocacy work with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Heather touched on some tension with fellow cast member Gina Kirschenheiter, as well as Shannon Beador’s journey following her DUI arrest. Despite Shannon’s legal troubles, Heather revealed, “Shannon is doing really well. We were just texting the other day. Our kids were at a concert together and we were joking about it.”

She’s confident that viewers will be intrigued by Shannon’s new chapter, hinting that there’s plenty to unfold. Additionally, Alexis Bellino is making a return this season, something Heather has championed for years.

Heather shared, “I’ve been friends with Alexis for years. We’ve grown closer through our kids, and I’ve been advocating for her return over the past few years.” Though she has a strong bond with Alexis, Heather admitted that her relationship with Gina hasn’t always been as smooth.

On her dynamic with Gina, Heather said, “Gina and I have been friends for a few years and we have a very close relationship. I think she didn’t value that relationship the way I did.”

However, Heather believes in Gina’s ability to resolve conflicts, adding, “One of Gina’s great qualities is she will put everything on the table. When we had an issue this season, she laid it all out, acknowledged her part in it, and we managed to move past it.”

The upcoming season will also spotlight the LGBTQIA+ community, something Heather is particularly passionate about. “I have four kids, all with different genders and sexualities. One of the reasons we returned to the show after a break was to represent a very normal family. If you don’t see someone like you on TV, maybe it’s us,” she explained.

In addition to her reality TV life, Heather recently celebrated 25 years of marriage with her husband Terry Dubrow. They commemorated the occasion by recreating their honeymoon in Italy. “We were in Venice exactly 25 years to the day from when we first honeymooned there. We recreated a picture; it’s really cute,” she shared.

Heather also offered her perspective on marriage, saying, “Marriage is a leap of faith. Life throws curveballs, but it’s about how you grow together.”

“RHOC” is set to premiere on Thursday, July 11, on Bravo, promising fans an exciting and heartwarming season filled with personal growth, reconciliation, and important advocacy.
