‘RHOC’ Star Shannon Beador Doubles Down in John Janssen Lawsuit

RHOC star Shannon Beador is staunchly defending herself in the $75K lawsuit filed by her former partner, John Janssen. Janssen claims that the money he provided was a loan for Beador’s facelift, while she insists it was a gift. Beador has sought to resolve the issue without heading to court, yet tensions remain high over the disputed amount.

During Shannon and John’s relationship, Shannon often highlighted John’s preference for privacy and his discomfort with public exposure. When Shannon was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run in September 2023, their relationship faced further public scrutiny. By November that year, Janssen began dating another RHOC alumni, Alexis Bellino. Bellino had appeared on the show from Seasons 5 through 8 and had reconnected with Shannon’s former co-star, Tamra Judge.

Soon after this, Alexis and John were spotted together, fueling rumors of her return to RHOC as a friend. Those rumors turned out to be accurate, and shortly after, John slapped Shannon with a $75K lawsuit. Shannon remains adamant that the money was not a loan but a gift, expressing a willingness to repay him to avoid the hassle of legal proceedings. She further contends that she had financially supported Janssen during their time together.

According to In Touch Weekly, Shannon’s lawyer elaborated on their stance, explaining to the judge that the couple had shared finances during their relationship:

“[John] and [Shannon] were in a romantic relationship for over 4 years. During the relationship the parties regularly shared their finances and assisted each other with certain financial contributions.”

Her lawyer further clarified that the disputed $75K was part of the shared financial resources in their relationship:

“After the relationship soured and eventually ended, [John] now claims that $75,000 he provided Defendant during the relationship were loans, subject to specific yet unidentified loan terms such as interest, attorney fees, repayment timing, and the like. Defendant denies that said monies were loans, but were simply monies shared during the relationship.”

Shannon is determined to fight the claim. She even mentioned that her father advised her to resist Janssen’s demand during an episode of RHOC. Additionally, her co-stars have commented on the significant amounts she spent while dating John Janssen, insinuating that she could have evidence to support her claims.

As the lawsuit continues, Alexis Bellino has entered the fray, asserting she possesses evidence of Shannon’s instability, which she believes could damage Shannon’s case. It’s worth noting that Alexis and John recently got engaged, which might shift their focus away from the legal battle.

The drama has led to heated discussions among fans, many of whom are questioning whether John should drop the lawsuit or if he has a valid claim to pursue his money. Some fans believe Shannon should showcase her spending on him to bolster her defense.
