Archie has been a great comfort to Shannon Beador, particularly as she’s navigated becoming an empty nester. Followers on social media adore the frequent posts featuring Archie. However, they were shocked when they learned he was in Shannon’s vehicle during her DUI hit-and-run incident in September 2023. After the crash, Shannon took Archie out of the car and pretended to walk him, leading to an investigation into possible animal cruelty. Fortunately, she was quickly cleared of any wrongdoing.

Archie has had his share of close calls. Earlier in June, he was attacked by another dog, resulting in a cut and bloodied nose:

“Archie was bit by another dog when we went on a walk today. The dog was enclosed in his front patio, but started to bark and stuck his face out to bite Archie through the slats in the fence.”

When anything happens to Archie, fans feel deeply for him. He’s known to sit outside when Shannon’s daughters—Stella, Adeline, and Sophie—leave, as he misses them dearly. Shannon’s recent Instagram post about Archie caused quite a stir among her followers. She mentioned that Archie was “in heaven,” which led many to mistakenly believe he had passed away. Shannon later clarified her statement.

She posted a photo of Archie enjoying some water, explaining that he was perfectly fine. When Shannon said he was in “heaven,” she meant he was extremely happy, surrounded by other dogs—particularly small ones, which he is very fond of.

The love for Archie extends beyond just Shannon’s social media followers. A Reddit thread dedicated to how amazing Archie is highlights this affection. When David and Shannon Beador split, Shannon got Archie in 2016, and some fans believe he played a crucial role in her ability to cope:
