Life for Drake isn’t exactly smooth sailing right now, given the recent flooding in his Toronto home. Adding to his woes, Rick Ross decided to throw some shade his way. The 48-year-old rapper took the chance to diss his former collaborator upon seeing the flood damage in Drake’s residence.

Several Instagram accounts reshared Drake’s footage of the flooding, and Rozay couldn’t resist leaving multiple jokes in the comments. Under one post, he wrote, “Auction it, possibly get 2 M’s,” hinting that the value of Drake’s property had depreciated. Another comment read, “Now we both on the water,” referring to his own residence on Florida’s Star Island.

His final comment was perhaps the harshest. “Minor issues,” Ross wrote with a smirking emoji, an allusion to Kendrick Lamar calling Drake a pedophile on “Not Like Us” and the resulting jokes from fans.

Toronto experienced record-breaking rainfall recently after storms pummeled the Canadian city. Many residents, much like Drake, faced power outages and flooding. Drake shared a video showcasing the pools of water in his house with the caption: “This better be Espresso Martini.”

Rick Ross’ decision to continue needling Drake despite this unfortunate event isn’t particularly surprising. Back in March, Ross made his feelings for Drake evident after Kendrick Lamar dissed Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.” Ross posted a video of himself listening to the verse. Only a few weeks later, Drake responded with “Push Ups,” going after Kendrick Lamar, Ross, The Weeknd, Metro, and others. Ross quickly fired back with “Champagne Moments” just hours later.

Most recently, during a show in Vancouver, the “Richer Than I Ever Been” rapper was jumped after playing Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” While his assailants weren’t directly connected to Drake, their loyalty to their fellow Canadian artist wasn’t shocking.
