Robert Irwin Shines in All-Black Tuxedo at Awards Show with Surprise Date

Robert Irwin, the youngest child of the late Steve Irwin and his wife Terri, made quite an entrance at the 2024 Logie Awards in Australia on Aug. 18, surprising many with his choice of date.

The 20-year-old was up for two awards at the prestigious event, including the TV Week Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality and the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter. Although he didn’t win, Robert’s nominations were nonetheless historic, making him the youngest man ever nominated for these prestigious honors, according to Yahoo!.

Fans were impressed with Robert’s stylish appearance at the awards show. He chose an all-black tuxedo paired with a bowtie and posed alongside his date for the evening. While Daily Mail had reported that he would be accompanied by his mother Terri, Robert instead surprised everyone by walking the carpet with Australian comedian Julia Morris.

This year, the duo co-hosted the reality series I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after Robert took on the role as the new co-host. In contrast to his dark suit, Morris shone in a striking red gown at the high-profile TV event.

Robert also took to social media to document the special night. He shared photos showcasing his remarkable transformation from a day spent working with wildlife to his chic red carpet look. He captioned the post, “Yesterday’s outfit… and tonight’s. 😂 It’s Logies time!!!”

His sister, Bindi, chimed in on the post, cheering, “We are all cheering for you!!”

The comment section was filled with praise from fans. One admirer wrote, “Wowza! You clean up well sir! 🔥🔥🔥.” Another added, “Get someone who can do both,” while a different fan remarked, “I really do believe You can pull off pretty much anything🤣.”
