Rumer Willis Shares Major Health Update on Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis has been battling advanced frontotemporal dementia. His family stays by his side, and he remains surrounded by loved ones. Many fans remain concerned about his health and have been sending well wishes for his happiness. In a recent AMA, his daughter, Rumer Willis, gave an update on his health.

Rumer Willis has opened up recently about her dad. She said Bruce is spending time with his granddaughter, Louetta. While his medical condition makes it tough on him and his family, thanks to the devastating effects on his brain and memory, they are giving him all the support he needs.

Someone asked in a new Instagram AMA, “How’s your dad doing? Sending love to all you guys.” Rumer responded, “He is great. I love him so much. Thank you.” This came in the AMA dated August 22. A few months ago, Rumer wished her dad a happy birthday to the “greatest papa” ever in March.

Rumer also appeared on The Today Show in May, and they asked about her dad. She mentioned how he interacts with Louetta, who is now 16 months old. She said Louetta had just learned to walk, and “She was walking over to him, and it was so sweet.”

Rumer also said that Bruce Willis always prided himself on being a “girl dad,” which his ex-wife Demi Moore agreed with. “He’s a girl dad, through and through,” Rumer said. “I saw him with my sisters, my little sisters.”

When Bruce Willis received his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, a wonderful thing happened. His entire family flooded in to give him support. This includes his current wife, his kids, and his ex-wife, Demi Moore, and her family. They offered all the help he needed.

Rumer Willis also said that they want to keep his health issues public. “I think if there’s any way sharing our experience brings hope — whatever comes forward as a family — that can have an effect and bring any sort of hope, comfort to someone else experiencing that, then to me, that’s… everything,” she said.

The family wants to offer Bruce his privacy and protect him. But they want the public to know what is happening as they advocate for more research into his terrible disease.

Bruce was diagnosed in March 2022, and his family all released statements. His wife, Emma Heming Willis, confirmed the official diagnosis, and his ex-wife, Demi Moore, offered her support and assistance. Sadly, things have been regressing, and recently, Bruce lost his language skills and can no longer read.
