Rumored Season 3 of World’s Toughest Test

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test has captivated FOX viewers since its debut on January 4, 2023. The survivalist series challenges its celebrity participants, pushing them to their limits. Some contestants have managed to endure the rigorous tasks set by the combat veterans overseeing their progress, while others have bowed out due to fear, exhaustion, or underestimating the show’s intensity.

Though Season 3 has been delayed until 2025, there’s already considerable buzz about the forthcoming installment. Rumors are swirling about potential participants, with one notable name being Trista Sutter from The Bachelorette. Trista was the runner-up on the inaugural season of The Bachelor and became the franchise’s first leading lady during her own quest for love on The Bachelorette.

Trista has been happily married to Ryan Sutter, whom she met on the show, since 2003. They have two kids together. Although it’s been over 20 years since Bachelor Nation watched their love story unfold, fans remain invested in their lives. So, when Ryan posted a message on Instagram about missing Trista the day before Mother’s Day, curiosity was piqued.

Ryan later shared an update showing the family on vacation in Mexico, where he mentioned Trista was greatly missed. The posts seemed cryptic until TMZ provided some clarity. According to their sources, Trista had been filming Season 3 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

In a May 25 Instagram post, Trista hinted at an opportunity for personal growth:

“An opportunity for perspective and personal growth presented itself and with the unconditional support of my family and friends, I chose myself and betterment, knowing that my stay-at-home-mom job and my kids’ end-of-the-school-year needs were in the best, most capable hands. My stoic husband, who usually chooses privacy over posting, decided to share his love for me in messages that would find me in my travels. We look at Instagram like a digital diary. Most of the time, the world doesn’t pay too much attention. This time, he couldn’t say anything right and just about every news outlet picked up his ‘cryptic/confusing/attention-seeking/dramatic’ pictures and captions. To me, they gave me exactly what my Words of Affirmation love language needed to get me through some serious self-doubt and fear … and that’s all that matters.”

Perhaps Trista was indeed testing her mettle. She has participated in competition series before, though none as physically demanding as this one. She competed in the first season of Dancing with the Stars and secured 6th place.

As for Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, TMZ reports that Trista is not the only Bachelorette alum rumored to be participating in the new season. Ali Manno (née Fedotowsky), the leading lady from Season 10, is also speculated to join. Fans got to know Ali in Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor.

Ali posted a video on her Instagram, sharing her excitement about returning home and hinting at a big reveal about her recent activities. She also took a moment to honor Memorial Day and express gratitude to those serving in the military.

Since the premiere of Season 3 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is still months away, the official cast won’t be confirmed until promotional activities begin. Stay tuned for updates.
