Run and DMC recount their journey more than 20 years after the murder of Jam Master Jay. Oliver Savell returns to play the young comedian in this semi-autobiographical comedy-drama, highlighting a moment when his mum takes him to see Platoon with other underage kids.

Jay Blades gives us a tour of the West End in this two-part history series. Starting with the 2006 discovery of a Roman sarcophagus at St Martin-in-the-Fields church, he also explores how the Savoy Hotel was overtaken by people from the East End during the Second World War.

This superior Swedish thriller continues to unravel the complex psyches of its characters. The aftermath of Billy’s disappearance reveals much about hardman Harald and hesitant cop Månsson. Interestingly, the show features a surprising but effective use of a Lionel Richie song.

This crime drama, set in the alpine region of Australia, follows city cop Andie Whitford (Leah Purcell). Sent to police a remote area, Andie discovers an abandoned car and unsettling information about its driver. Despite its familiar premise, the setting adds a unique twist.

Tom Allen, known for his humorous hosting on shows like Bake Off and The Apprentice, returns to his stand-up roots. In this memoir-like show, he shares anecdotes about his life, including finally moving out of his family home and stories involving his vegetable patch and friends with kids.
Typist Artist Pirate King, out now, Netflix
Carol Morley’s biographical drama about the overlooked British artist Audrey Amiss features an exceptional performance by Monica Dolan. The film explores Amiss’s life, marked by her mental health struggles, as she embarks on a road trip with her social worker, Sandra Panza (Kelly Macdonald). The film artfully blends humor with poignant moments.

Following the 1972 Munich Olympics’ tragedy, Steven Spielberg’s 2005 film turns the Mossad’s covert operation into a tense political thriller.
