Ryan Day’s Hilarious Response to Connor Stalions Doc Question

Ohio State football coach Ryan Day is avoiding the new Netflix documentary centered on Connor Stalions. Stalions, formerly an analyst for Michigan football, is at the heart of an NCAA investigation into allegations of sign-stealing at the school. When a reporter asked Day on Tuesday if he planned to watch the documentary, Day’s response was a firm “No,” which elicited laughter from those present.

In recent seasons, Day and the Buckeyes have faced tough losses against a Michigan team led by Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh, who guided Michigan to victory in the College Football Playoff in 2023, has since moved on to the NFL, where he now coaches the L.A. Chargers. The Ohio State-Michigan rivalry remains one of the most intense in college football.

The controversy surrounding Michigan football includes accusations of sign-stealing during Harbaugh’s tenure. This scandal could result in NCAA sanctions for the school, potentially including a suspension for current head coach Sherrone Moore. As the investigation commenced, Stalions separated from Michigan.

Coach Day mentioned that he is too engrossed in his responsibilities to consider watching the documentary. Ohio State football faces immense pressure to secure the Big Ten championship this season, especially given Harbaugh’s departure from Ann Arbor. For the past three seasons, Ohio State has failed to make the College Football Playoff (CFP) due to their inability to overcome Michigan. This year, the stakes are higher, and Day knows they must deliver.

The Buckeyes boast considerable talent in their ranks. Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer even suggested this might be the most formidable Buckeyes team he has seen. This high praise adds more urgency for Day and his team to vindicate themselves. Last year, Michigan bested Ohio State while Harbaugh served a self-imposed suspension, with interim coach Moore leading the Wolverines to victory.

Ohio State and Michigan are set to clash on November 30th in Columbus. Perhaps after that, Day will find an opportunity to watch the documentary.
