Ryan Reynolds Hints at New Collaboration with Hugh Jackman

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are continuing their onscreen camaraderie with a new film genre.

As the duo promotes their Marvel movie “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Reynolds revealed that they might soon work on another project together, which will be a departure from the superhero genre.

“We have one we’re looking to do soon,” Reynolds shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Reynolds elaborated on their bond, saying, “I would say that [ours] is like any relationship that is successful and works: It’s that two parties are rooting for each other. I’m always rooting for Hugh to score and win. I also know the infinite nuance of his heart and his mind and who he is. I can say firsthand that he’s a person who’s not just worth rooting for, he’s somebody who’s impossible to not root for.”

After “Deadpool & Wolverine” was confirmed for a July 26 release in China, coinciding with its US release, Reynolds and Jackman traveled to Shanghai to promote the movie alongside director Shawn Levy. This marks the first time the franchise has secured a release in China.

Reynolds and Jackman reprise their iconic Marvel roles in this third “Deadpool” installment, which will have their characters traveling through time and space in a shared mission to conquer a common enemy.

The actors previously joined forces as mutant superheroes in Jackman’s 2009 standalone film, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Their enduring partnership both onscreen and off continues to excite fans, promising more dynamic collaborations in the future.
