Ryan Reynolds Reveals His Preferred Watch Over Green Lantern

The press tour for Deadpool and Wolverine has been filled with memorable moments featuring our beloved stars, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, along with some of their costars, including Dogpool herself, Peggy. They’ve engaged in fun activities like playing with puppies, eating extremely spicy chicken wings, and even answering questions while connected to a lie detector. It has perfectly encapsulated the fun and unpredictability we associate with a Deadpool production.

In a noteworthy instance during the press tour, Hugh Jackman asked Ryan Reynolds about his very first superhero movie, Green Lantern. Courtesy of Vanity Fair, we discovered what Reynolds would rather watch instead of revisiting that early superhero film. And yes, the answer revolves around dogs!

When asked if he has watched Green Lantern with his family, Reynolds was quite forthcoming. Although he met his now-wife, Blake Lively, on the set of that film, he emphatically denied wanting to relive those scenes. Jackman quizzed him about it, and Reynolds’s response couldn’t have been more clear.

According to Reynolds, “I would actually, genuinely rather watch just a f***ing 24-hour marathon of Paw Patrol.”

It was a hilarious and candid response, and many fans loved it. The answer was both absurd and fitting, aligning well with Reynolds’s personality. While it may not be the same as watching a superhero movie, we totally support a marathon of Paw Patrol!

Dogs weren’t only mentioned in the context of Green Lantern. During the same lie detector session, Jackman brought up Van Wilder, leading Reynolds to recall that someone had recently asked him about the dog from that movie. Evidently, dogs were a recurring theme in Reynolds’s mind during this actor-on-actor interview, and honestly, who can blame him? Sometimes, dogs do make for more entertaining subjects than superheroes—or at least more so than Green Lantern.
