Ryan Seacrest Reveals Teaser for First Episode

Ryan Seacrest is prepped for his debut as the new Wheel of Fortune host.

The American Idol host shared a video on his Instagram page on Friday, July 26, showcasing his preparations. The clip featured Ryan putting on his tie and shoes backstage before confidently walking towards the Wheel stage.

“Game face for the season premiere taping. Let’s play @wheeloffortune!” he captioned the video.

Fans eagerly flooded the comments with excitement and encouragement.

“Wishing you many years of success in your new role as Host for Wheel of Fortune,” one commenter wrote.

Another added, “Looking good!! They couldn’t ask for anyone better than you!!!”

One more fan chimed in, “Looking great. U got this. Make PAT proud.”

“You got this Ryan! No problem! I’ll be watching!” another supporter wrote.

Pat Sajak’s daughter and Wheel social media correspondent Maggie Sajak also commented, writing, “Let’s go!”

Just a day earlier, on July 25, long-time letter-turner Vanna White shared her own behind-the-scenes video. She was getting styled for the first episode of the show’s upcoming 42nd season and exclaimed, “Getting ready for the first show!”

Seacrest made a brief appearance in White’s video, sporting his smart suit and tie. He escorted Vanna to the stage, adding, “Ready to go?”

“I think so,” Seacrest responded. “Let’s do it. Come on.”

Seacrest, a self-confessed Wheel superfan, is stepping into the shoes of the iconic Pat Sajak, who retired from the regular syndicated show this June. However, fans haven’t seen the last of Sajak yet.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Sajak will be hosting the upcoming season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, premiering on Monday, October 7, at 8/7c on ABC. The network is promoting this as Sajak’s final spin on the wheel.

Seacrest is expected to take over as Celebrity Wheel host in the following season, although ABC has not yet confirmed this.
