Ryan Seacrest’s Wild First Day as ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Host: Behind the Scenes

Ryan Seacrest as new Wheel of Fortune host

On his inaugural day as the new host of Wheel of Fortune, Ryan Seacrest couldn’t contain his enthusiasm. Sharing his excitement on Instagram, he posted, “A glimpse of my first day…and I’m still spinning with excitement!”

The 49-year-old was seen holding up a wildcard, spinning the iconic wheel, and meeting crew members. Seacrest appeared more than ready for his new role, donning jeans, a long-sleeved black cardigan, and white sneakers as he walked around backstage. He proudly showcased memorabilia and some vintage footage, reflecting the show’s long-standing history.

With Pat Sajak stepping down after four decades as the host, fans seemed to embrace Seacrest warmly. One follower commented, “Ryan, you’re great at everything. You will be great at this. Good luck I’ll be watching.”

Although there were initial protests against Seacrest replacing Sajak, some viewers supported the choice, believing no better person could take over. Another fan remarked, “We’ll miss Pat Sajak, but look forward to seeing you- You’ll be great as new host!”

Ryan will now join forces with Vanna White, who continues her role as letter-turner, to keep America’s beloved game show running. Reports suggest that Vanna White initially had some reservations about bonding with Ryan and may consider early retirement depending on their rapport in the first few episodes.

Pat Sajak’s daughter, Maggie, remains an integral part of the program, working as the social media correspondent and occasionally stepping in for Vanna. When Pat announced his retirement, speculations about Maggie being promoted to co-anchor surfaced. Many fans, disappointed by this rumor, pushed back against the news of Ryan’s appointment.
